It was produced without any deluxe or special features, and it has a chemically blackened tab frame and Ara plastic trucks with one operating couplet. It has a light blue painted body on a black shell and clear, clean and complete white heat stamped reversible lettering, and it also has the navy logo on each side of the body. But, there are no cracks, no dents and no war page on this uncommon caboose.
Offered for sale is an uncommon and hard to find Lionel postwar USA navy sp type caboose which was only produced in and, the four roof corners are also just fine, showing no signs of hairline cracks or repairs. This one year only caboose is in very good condition complete and very clean, with just a few tiny scratches and paint nicks on the sides and on the roof, some paint loss on the end rails and with some possible black touch up on the frame tabs.
