Details:

Up for bid is a new mint Lionel nyc mohawk l 3 class steam engine with its original box. Some of the features of this engine are super detailed die cast metal locomotive.

This engine is new, but i'm calling it mint as well because while it never has been run other than to test it, I did have it on display for a number of years. It is not, it's dust. Note in the first tender picture, right below the word new is what looks like a scratch.

But i'm just being thorough. Still, given this engine has been sitting since 1990, i'd give it a good lube job if nothing else before putting it into service. I noticed it in the picture and checked to see what it was, but then forgot to re take the picture before I boxed it back up.

And as you can see, one corner of the box is dinged up i'm a little baffled because the Styrofoam insert is perfect. Due to the age, this item is sold as is. I've tested the engine out and all looks good.

Whatever it is, it came that way from the factory. I've blown it off with an air hose, but I can't guarantee there isn't a bit of dust somewhere. What you see in the pics is what you get. I'm sure some buyers look elsewhere when they read my.

I think perhaps Lionel scratched the frame during production and touched it up.
