There is no screw hole crack at the back of cab, and visible rust on sides or bottom frame. Neither the Schmidt guide nor any other reference manual makes mention of a dummy 216T ever being produced by Lionel.
According to the Schmidt guide of Lionel's promotional outfits only 2000 216p or powered m STOL a units were made for two in 1965 and thanks looking happy buying. But either way, it is a very unusual postwar Lionel alco that rarely ever seen. As can be seen in photo 3, there is a repaired crack the front couplet strut, but no missing plastic. Offered for sale is an uncatalogued and very uncommon postwar Lionel 216T minneapolis st louis alco diesel dummy a unit the red painted body of quite nice, except places where gray mold can be seen, white heat-stamped lettering, numbering logos are clear, clean complete.
It is certainly one of the more attractive postwar Lionel alco's, and an engine that impossible to find simply because there no record ever having been produced by. It is in very good condition and clean, with some scratches, nicks paint loss, but no dents, rust war page. Shipping costs: 12.
